How do you disinfect Pain Care Labs Products?
Cleaning Buzzy® Healthcare:
Buzzy® HealthCare is a reusable medical device that should be thoroughly cleaned and reprocessed following your facility’s infection control protocol for non-critical equipment. All accessories must be cleaned and disinfected with your facility’s disinfecting wipes or method used to reprocess non-critical equipment such as stethoscopes or patient monitors. Do not autoclave [steam sterilize]. Do not immerse in liquid.
Tips from Product Manager:
PDI Super-Sani Cloth Germicidal wipes (Quaternary ammonium and isopropyl alcohol) and Sani-Cloth Bleach Germicidal Wipes (1:10 Dilution of 6300 PPM Bleach) are recommended, although using a sanitary/alcohol wipe or swab is acceptable. The product must be disinfected between patients and it is ideal to allow the device to air dry prior to use. Cleaning the wings must also be done between patients and can be wiped down by an alcohol wipe or swab as well. Allow to air dry. Cleaning the yellow tourniquet(s) must also be done between patients and can be wiped down by an alcohol wipe or swab as well. Allow to air dry.
Cleaning Buzzy® Personal:
Buzzy® Personal is a personal consumer product intended to be used by a single user. Buzzy® may be cleaned with alcohol-based sanitation wipes. Do not autoclave [steam sterilize]. Do not immerse in liquid. Soiled wings should be disposed of and replaced.
Tips from Quality Manager:
Using a sanitary/alcohol wipe or swab is acceptable. It is suggested to disinfect the product between uses and it is ideal to allow the device to air dry. Clean the wings by wiping down the smooth, blue-gel side with an alcohol-based solution or swab. If the softer, material side starts to soil over time, please contact us for information on how to order replacements or visit our website at PainCareLabs.com
Cleaning VibraCool®:
VibraCool® soft goods can be machine washed; be sure to attach velcro to avoid damaging other items in wash. The VibraCool® vibration unit may be cleaned with alcohol-based sanitation wipes. Do not autoclave [steam sterilize]. Do not immerse in liquid. Soiled ice packs should be disposed of and replaced.
